I am writing to express my interest in the Associate Consultant Intern position at Bain & Company Milan. At the Bocconi Career Fair, I had the chance to speak with Marco Bellini from your Milan office, who shared valuable insights into Bain's apprenticeship culture and the emphasis placed on generating tangible results for clients. He encouraged me to apply and kindly allowed me to reference our discussion.
My recent experiences at EY-Parthenon and AlixPartners introduced me to analytically rigorous, impact-driven work in restructuring and transformation contexts. At EY-Parthenon, I supported turnaround projects by analyzing liquidity positions, debt structures, and operational KPIs for distressed companies. At AlixPartners, I contributed to research for transformation engagements and summarized financial and operational data for consultant teams. Earlier at Goetzpartners, I gained exposure to strategy and due-diligence work through market screenings and valuation support. These internships strengthened my ability to structure ambiguous problems, work with large datasets, and communicate insights clearly, skills I am eager to apply in a more generalist, strategy-focused environment like Bain.
I am particularly drawn to the firm's reputation for delivering measurable impact, especially in sectors such as industrial goods and consumer products—two areas that align strongly with my analytical background. The Milan office's role in advising companies navigating digitalization, performance improvement, and complex turnarounds also resonates with my previous project exposure and long-term career aspirations.
Thank you very much for considering my application. I would welcome the opportunity to further discuss how my experience and motivation align with the expectations of an Associate Consultant Intern at Bain.
Kind regards,
